Went in there for the first time yesterday and was happy with my visit. The staff is very nice. Great costumer service and very knowledgeable, he answered all of my questions and help me learn new things as well. Critter jungle is now my favourite store they definitely have my business.

So... Today was my first ever trip into this store and I spent just under an hour there in the fish section. I have to say this trip was both super awesome AND super depressing. In just one visit this is now my favourite store. Not my favourite pet store. Literally this is my favourite store now. Which is why it is so depressing because I live roughly 2 hours away. I will be going back just not as frequently as I would like. 
The person I spent the majority of my time talking to was super knowledgeable and gave me a lot of helpful tips and info in regards to a project I've been just in the research stage of. Really appreciated the time he took to explain things to me. It wasn't just a "you should do it like this" it was a "Here are all of the ways you can accomplish your goal and how and why these things work/don't work." Really cool guy. His partner I spoke to near the end of my visit helped me with identifying some super cool tiny fish they have in their shrimp tank although I was on like a fish nerd high and have totally forgotten the name of those tiny fish which is unfortunate BUT I will be back again for sure so there's always another day. All of the fish/ shrimp and miscellaneous other aquarium dwellers looked extremely healthy which is a very nice change of scenery than I'm used to with a lot of pet stores. All in all it was awesome customer service, really healthy and beautiful animals and a bigger selection of products than your average pet store. I LOVED it there! You guys rock!  Thank you for all of the help today, it was very much appreciated. :)

Best person store in Ottawa. Very knowledgeable staff, and very helpful. I bought a large cage that was already built and they offered to drive it home for me as it wouldn't fit in my car.

Great place. Staff is there to help you and is very knowledgeable. They have a great selection of higher end food for pets.

Family owned place. They are small but they have pretty much anything your pet needs. I adopted a kitten from there too. Love the place. I go there for cat food all the time. The people working there ate really helpful and nice. And they remember me!
