Called this place, the owner Barry came out and gave me a quote. I had a few other plumbers come give me quotes as well. I weighed my options and decided I would like to use Barry at custom. When we called back he told us we waited too long (12 hours) and that we called after hours (we called in the morning on a Wed)and he didn't want our work. Our water main is shut off and he said we're not an emergency because we have temporary water from a neighbors house. I have an 11 month old child here. I need water. Don't waist your time with custom. I suggest anyone use someone other than Barry. Custom plumbing is not someone you should be dealing with. Find a good plumber.

We called around the city to different companies for quotes. Barry gave a quick response, the best quote and his guys did an excellent job. We have used them for three different jobs. Consistently great professional service. I would highly recommend them.

Rude, willfully ignorant, and highly inconsiderate. Do not waste your time. I scheduled an estimate for plumbing work. Barry, the owner, became upset when he learned that an electrician was also providing an estimate for completely separate work (electrical, NOT plumbing). Do not waste your time or energy on this jerk.

My family has been using Barry since 2004 and as long as he is in business he is the only plummer we will use. He is prompt, honest,trustworthy and practices his trade by doing impeccable work.

Just want to take a moment to inform anyone who plans on using this company of a few FACTS. If you have a sewage problem in your home and call custom plumbing to get a quote and decide the price is not right for you. They will call the township and inform them of your issue and in-return you could be fined and forced to hire him because he is a master plumber (they are limited in the city of Lancaster and some jobs require one). I know of three different occasions he has called/emailed the township on a potential customer who chose not to pursue him for their job. He has also purchased an unmarked white van to go to Philadelphia to complete a job for Phil Smith's son. This job requires a license from the city of Philadelphia (that he has not obtained). Thus stealing from union workers in the city of Philadelphia. Buying the unmarked van was his way of hiding himself from doing the work. All this written here are FACTS! Fact: a thing that is indisputably the case Slander: oral defamation, in which someone tells one or more persons an untruth about another, which untruth will harm the reputation of the person defamed.
