Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day and this restaurant did not disappoint. We were passing through Cypress and took a chance on the Cypress Breakfast House on a Sunday morning in June. It was fairly busy and we had a 20 minute wait. Our waitress, Natalie, was very friendly and prompt. The coffee was good, better than most diners for sure. I had the biscuits and gravy meal and my husband had the hearty meal I think. They were both very good. The bacon was especially good, as was the pancake. The potatoes could have been a bit more flavorful, but overall we would certainly be regulars of this restaurant if we lived in the area.
Jaylynn was our waitress and she was super friendly and attentive! The regular coffee was pretty disappointing, but admittedly I'm picky about my coffee. The regular CBH Stack Pancakes were pretty good! Very soft and not overcooked! Mexican skillet was good, I got mine without potatoes. I was pretty impressed with the queso. The chorizo wasn't greasy, which I appreciate. Too many bell peppers for my taste. The biscuit was just okay. Sausage gravy didn't have a lot of flavor. Carnivore omelette was just okay, ingredients didn't taste super fresh. Potatoes were decently flavorful. Bacon was just okay. If we go back, I would like to try the French toast stuffed with cream cheese! Yum! As far as atmosphere, it was pretty warm in there. I got overheated and had to take my hat off. It smelled strongly of Fabulouso. A personal distaste for me, but likely means things are clean. Bathroom was decently clean.
The burrito was delicious! Chicken fried steak was also very good. Service was AMAZING! Coffee needs to be bolder. Will definitely be back.Food: 5/5
My wife and I have eaten here many times over the years. Yesterday we decided to go in for lunch, and both had the Mexican Skillet, our favorite breakfast dish. As always, the staff was very friendly and helpful, checking in on us from time to time to ensure we didn’t need anything. The place is as clean as when it opened and the atmosphere is friendly and inviting. Not many people comment about coffee, but Cypress Breakfast House has really good coffee. And they leave a small pitcher of hot coffee on the table. My wife has one of those fancy coffee drinks that looks like a Chocolate Shake with Whipped Cream on top. It comes in a carafe and about two glasses worth of coffee drink. Everything tastes fresh and very filling.
First time visiting and even brought some family that was visiting from out of town to join. Visited Sunday 4/14/24 @11am. We were a party of 8 and had a very special young man with us. He was a little hangry when we arrived but soon settled in. Being autistic in a busy environment was definitely challenging for him. But the staff did an awesome job accommodating us, especially our waitress Natalie. She made sure we got some food in his belly ASAP to put him at ease. My family took note of that and were very pleased with how everyone came together. Service was Awesome. And the food was just as Awesome...from the chicken and waffles to the Mexican Omelette and so on. Even the other Customers were Awesome. We really enjoyed ourselves, the food and the atmosphere. You Guys Rock. Thank You Again and keep up the great work.
I come in an order what I call " The big back breakfast". Philly eggs Benedict with a side of bacon and fruit. Extra side of queso. Top the Benedict in queso and use it as a dip for my bacon with the other half of it. My go to breakfast spot and meal .Food: 5/5
We were actually the waiters … waiting for our waitress, Brenda. I saw several people who came in 10 to 15 minutes after us and get their food within five minutes and we still hadn’t placed our order. Of course, that was all with different waiters. When we got our food, hash browns and potatoes were cold. Good taste, cold food. Very cramped — too many tables too close together. We saw or waitress when she took our order, when she brought drinks and food, and when she brought the check. She never checked to see if we needed anything. Bottomless coffee. Omelet was good- vegetables still had life in them. Chicken fried steak was thick, not thin.
Probably one of the best waffles I’ve ever had. Just so fluffy and light. Packed house so you know it’s good. But still feels cozy with its aesthetic so I’d didn’t really feel overwhelmed. The food might not look it but it’s really good. The kind of spot you want to go to each Sunday. Customer service was good but delayed. It was a very busy day so I’ll give them that. Overall, a good choice in a suburb filled with many mediocre options. Parking: Shared parking lot in business park. Kid-friendliness: Family restaurant.
Best breakfast I ever had first time going here and I'm highly pleased!!! My kiddos loved it as well no complaints and they are really picky eaters!!Food: 5/5
