I got to see Hun Huur Tu here!!!! I was able to give them all hugs to show my appreciation for their artistry and ancestry. Oh, and the place is awesome too. Dark mood lighting, a stage, a balcony, a bar. The food was just ridiculously delicious - I had the 🦆 with 🍐. The staff was very on point and easy to communicate with - attitude and aptitude. Thanks for the great experience!

This is one of my favorite places in the Twin Cities. The food is always delicious with a lot of locally sourced ingredients, they do a great job with maintaining a unique cocktail list, utilizing local spirits, and also almost exclusively have local beer on tap. There is not a better place to see music in MN, intimate, perfect acoustics, and an awesome variety of performers and types of music.

I have been to the Dakota Jazz Club approximately 5 times thus far. My most recent time was on February 9th, 2018. The music lineup was The Accidentals, a young, Michigan-based trio playing alt-folk/rock music. The music was absolutely phenomenal! The service was excellent as well! I do understand the logic of the Dakota in terms of the music viewing aesthetic especially with the patrons they are targeting. It is really hard to be limited to your seat during a really up tempo music performance.

Very good music, we have been to many good shows there. But the service has been bad, especially we got the worst service at New Years Eve show. We waited almost one hour to get the water's attention, everyone came after us got their orders around us. He never asked if we need something, or if we like to order dessert. Then gave us the check but came back 30 minutes later to take my card. He said that they are busy, but busy is not customer's problem, and customers shouldn't suffer if the restaurant is busy. “Good service can save a bad meal, but there is no level of food that can save bad service.”

Good music. Without a doubt the worst service I’ve ever experienced in a restaurant. The so-called “server” never returned to take our entree order. Never checked back to see if our appetizers were ok, never asked if we wanted another drink and did not ask if we wanted dessert. He didn’t even thank us for coming in. He should be fired. I left a $1 tip and that was more than he deserved. He also ignored all the other tables around us. I’ll bet he goes home and complains about all the cheap people leaving lousy tips. I may go back but I wouldn’t risk going for the food or drink. A miserable experience.
