We stopped by to buy maple syrup, apparently a must-buy for out-of-state visitors. The store looks quite ordinary, until we read about it on a New York Times article a few days later. The article, probably one of the stories in the run up to the 2018 Winter Olympics, featured Norwich as a training ground for Olympians and mentioned this store as a kind of institution in the small town. The article even quoted the store's famous slogan, "If we don't have it, you don't need it".

Absolutely amazing store!! The staff here are very friendly and ALWAYS willing to lend a helping hand!! This store has a wide variety of items...from your regular everyday groceries, to Vermont memorabilia, to kids and adults clothing, and MORE...Dan & Whit's has it all!!

This is a GREAT Old Country Store. Make it a day trip, Stop in and wonder thru the store of yesteryear. It's a great place to share company and spend a few hours picking, poking and looking.

It is the best. A bit disorganized but this place has everything a human needs. If they don't have it you don't need it.

Not up to expectations of an upscale Vermont town. Falls short in So many areas, not even worth going into it all. First thing you do notice is that it's cramped and dirty; lacks organization. Drive across to Hanover nh; you'll save $
