Went in for a smog check on a Saturday morning. Was in and out with no hassles or attempts at an upsell. Very trustworthy and competent. Plan on going back soon for more extensive work based on this experience.

Fantastic automobile shop.  I highly recommend it for all of your automotive repair needs.  I have always been treated fairly by the owner and they have been in operation since the 1960's which goes to show that they do business fairly and honestly with all of their customers.

For some reason the service and customer treatment has gone downhill at this place, so I can't say I would recommend it to anyone, I was mistreated and lied to here, so I have moved on to better service elsewhere.

I wouldn't take my car any where else! I read that crappy review and called Dana Point auto about it. They said they couldn't do the smog check for that guy because he had a broken clutch. They offered to fix it but he said he wanted to fix it himself anId they told him where to buy the parts. He must have been disgruntled because they wouldn't give him an illegal smog check. I am a single woman and I never fear that I will get ripped off at this shop. They always take the time to show me what is wrong, the broken parts, they call before they do anything and last time instead of replacing costly parts they were able to fix a part and saved me hundreds of dollars. I highly recommend Dick and Steve.
