Welcome to Star Motors, where automotive service is our passion. We’ve been specializing in the service, repair and maintenance of Mercedes Benz, BMW, Jaguar and Porsche vehicles in the South OC area for over 30 years. Star Motors is truly a one-stop service facility for your vehicle. We service all foreign and domestic vehicles, but our specialty is luxury vehicle maintenance & repair. Our philosophy is simple. I took my Mercedes CL600 in to Star Motors to repair a broken lever on the seat that moved the seat forward and backward to allow entry into the back seats. Chris and his staff were very nice and the place was clean. They treated me fairly.

Ive been a loyal returning customer with over 6 visits this year. Anthony is the nicest courtesy shuttle driver, Brent and Mark at the front desk always make me feel like a "star"!

These nitwits charged me hundreds and FAILED to fix my car. I brought in my Jaguar because dash lights were lighting up and the supercharger was intermittent. Star Motors diagnosed the problem as a leak and performed a throttle body repair and a fuel injector cleaning. On my way home from picking up the car, the dash lights lit back up and the supercharger cut out again. I returned to the shop, they cleared the thrown codes and sent me on my way. Then, the dash lights came back on and the supercharger cut out. See a pattern here? After a couple of more trips back to Star, they decided they wanted to charge me HUNDREDS more for a new supercharger intercooler and a software upgrade. I asked them why it suddenly needed new software when nothing else on the car had been changed or upgraded and they couldn’t explain. I pointed out that I had ALREADY replaced the intercooler TWICE in the last 6 months and that something was likely triggering false codes causing the engine lights to go off. They were unable or unwilling to consider this and INSISTED I needed a new intercooler. Now, what are the odds that I had THREE bad intercoolers within 6 months? It defies logic. I was frustrated at their inability to come up with a better plan and regretted not taking my car to the Jag dealer as my local general mechanic had advised. I left in frustration, wallet thinner and car still limping along. Subsequently I discovered that my battery was not up to snuff and needed replacement. Upon replacing the battery, all dash lights turned OFF and the car runs perfectly! A little research reveals that, when a Jag has battery issues, it can cause a cascade of unexplained dashboard warning lights and make the car malfunction. This is common knowledge among mechanics that specialize in high performance vehicles. Well, MOST of them anyway. Star Motors either knew this, or SHOULD HAVE KNOWN. While I cannot prove that their faulty diagnosis and pigheaded refusal to open their minds to other possibilities was at least partially to try and get more money out of me for unnecessary repairs, I also cannot rule it out. Had I continued with them, my total repair cost would have gone from around 600.00 into the thousands! And it wouldn’t have fixed the problem. My faith in Star’s ability to effectively diagnose and repair has gone from a 9 to a 0. I’m glad I saved some money by not having them perform more unneeded work. I can only hope that those reading this also save themselves time, headaches and $.

As a single woman I feel like I am being taken care of and not "taken". The staff are friendly and helpful, the whole business (including the shop) is clean as a whistle. These guys know cars!! They are thorough, stay in touch to let you know what is happening with your car, wash your car, drive you home and pick you up when necessary and are just plain wonderful as far as I am concerned!! I haven't felt this good about car maintenance since my Dad did all the work on my cars!!!
