We are a family owned business that has been providing the chicagoland area with top notch pools for over 20 years. ANY problem you have with your pool, if your not a customer call and make an appointment, we come out and fix it! Our employees work extremely hard to make sure the job is done right the first time.

We contracted with Danna to replace an older auto cover and for pool maintenance.  The older cover was worn with some holes and rails were starting to pull from the walls but it worked well.

In addition to the cover Danna was contracted to replace the tile at the waterline.  We were told the project we start in 3-4 weeks of receiving the deposit in early April.

Danna started the tile project two weeks late but it was still spring so we didn't mind.  About over 4 weeks later they called to ask us what color we wanted for the cover.  Alarm bells started to go off.  The custom cover was to have been installed at this time but they hadn't even ordered the custom cover yet!  We were now getting into July and we had not been able to use the pool yet.  When they finally installed the cover it didn't travel straight so it would not completely open or close.  After many attempts to fix the problem they decided the pool was not square.  Keep in mind the old cover worked perfectly it was just getting old.  We paid Danna $4500 to replace the old concrete cover pit and "square up" the cover.  Within two weeks the cover started to travel crooked again so it would not open or close properly.  

I have now contacted Danna Pools over 6 times over two pool seasons for repair.  The pool's chemical maintenance was fine and Casey who answers the phones is pleasant but has no authority.  Daniel the owner, will take your money and walk away from any issues that he is responsible for.

I have never written a negative review for any product or service but given the terrible service at almost every point with Danna I feel compelled to write this review

Dan really did a nice job helping clear out the hurdles for us. Our pool is great.  We love it. Its been very easy to run and maintain.  The auto cover has been a little problematic, but I'm glad we have it.  My gas bills are surprising low for keeping a pool at 89F. The concrete is great.  No worries about a liner with the dogs, kids, adults etc. I liked the auto-vac, but I've been without it for a season. The auto-cover is easily the best feature.  It's been a bit of work keeping it clean, but it retains heat very well and keeps the pool clean.  The slide is very popular with the kids and adults. Its wonderful having a pool. The family loves it, including our dogs. The city pool is only a few blocks away but its cold, its crowded, has hours of operation, and no alcohol for the adults.  Our pool is never cold, rarely crowded, and has a floating cooler.  Its open with a push of a button, ready to go. We haven't gone on a summer vacation away from Chicago since we purchased the pool. That saves a ton of money! Every once in while its nice to spend cash on something you really enjoy.  I love going in the pool after a long day at work to just relax. I would highly recommend Danna Pools Inc. I just built my house in 2008.  I've dealt with many, many contractors. Dan is easily the most responsive that I've dealt with.  He's been great.  I highly recommend him to anyone looking to purchase a new swimming pool.

My wife and I truly love our custom gunite pool. Amy will tell you that it is her favorite amenity of the entire home. She loves spending an hour in the refreshing water after a hard day at work just floating about. Myself, I love sitting in the back yard, a great book in hand with the gentle rush of cascading water from the waterfall. Danna Pools is the finest both for construction and maintenance of residential swimming pools in my opinion. I know because in the last seven years, Dan Kamide has made our summers complete.

Doesn't finish the job!    I don't know why, but they leave the details out and ignore the finishing touches.  Really mad at Danna Pools!
