I recently discovered this restaurant. This is the second half Chinese restaurant I visited in the bay area. The food was good. Restaurant had a nice atmosphere. We were there on New year's Eve. So it was fully packed.  Not sure if that is the case on every weekend. But food was tasty. The only reason I am giving three stars is their service. Service was not good at all. I need to call the waitress to take my order and then reminded again. They didn't server any  water until we asked. And then they didn't bring any straws . they all looked so in rush that they were not paying attention and ignoring you. They ignored me couple of times and it was hard to catch one. I don't know why the halal places can't provide good services. If they improve the service I think it will be a very good place to visit occasionally. But like I said food was good. I ordered hot and sour soup , chicken with black beans and chicken fried rice.

I've been coming here for years.  Very popular restaurant that has a wide ranging menu.  Everything I've had is good; the cream corn and chicken soup,  sesame bread, ribs, orange chicken, it's all good.  It's a halal resaturant, so no pork on the menu.  The owner is often there greeting, serving, and cooking.  Do yourself a favor and eat there.  You won't be sorry.

I have been coming to Darda for past 23 years 
Usually the foods has always been good. 
Past two years it was excellent.  But the last two times I have been there it is very mediocre ( I am being very positive ).  Something changed.  I don’t know what. But food is gone down in quality 

It is barely edible.

My first time at this place. We were a group of 7.
Food was good. The meat in the lamb soup was a little chewy. Fish was fantastic. Service is quick and friendly.  They did not wait to be told , just brought the bill even before everyone was done- like trying to rush us out. That was not nice. Overall , I would still go back.

This is a top notch choice for muslim Chinese food, in a large and noisy dining room. The lamb and pickled cabbage soup is fantastic, flavorful but well-balanced. The braised spicy scallop comes in a richly intense sauce with minced vegetables. Both pair perfectly with freshly baked sesame bread. Service was rushed but not unpleasant. Looking forward to next visit.
