The food is very good, I love their crispy chicken. Make sure to get it spicy, the spiciness makes it so much better. Grandma's braised meat rice is too, but a little salty to some people. However, that is how it supposed to be because you need to mix the rice with the sauce and meat. They have good drinks too. The bad thing is there s always a long line.

Shihlin is one of my go-to places for takeout. It's tucked away in the large Ranch 99 strip mall in Milpitas, though it's on the Gen side of the mall. Shihlin specializes in a few bento box style dishes and fried side dishes. Everything here is delicious so take your pick. My usual go to is the treasure box if I'm hungry or the grandpa rice, with a side of the fried chicken or the fried mushrooms. They have frequent loyalty offers so make sure to enter your phone number in at checkout!

My husband and I were excited to find this gem, especially after visiting his relatives in Taipei and eating delicious treats at the night markets. The fried chicken is awesome and super similar to the Shihlin market versions. Huge portion cut into bite sized pieces. We also thought the Grandma's braised rice bowl with generous servings of tofu was a great value. The owner was super welcoming and the venue is clean/ well-run. Excited for this new establishment!

Got their signature XXL Fried Chicken and sour plum drink. I wasn’t that impressed with the taste of either. They claim to specialize in Taiwanese Street food found in Shilin Night Market, however the fried chicken is their only snack item apart from some french fries. I would have loved if they had a variety of snacks instead of having set meal options.

TL;DR: Enthusiastic staff and great service! This place is a great place to get a quick bite if you know your timing. It gets pretty crowded at the weekends, but it's still a great place to get a quick bit
