About

Dawson County Veterinary Clinic's mission is to service the veterinary needs of Glendive, MT and surrounding areas.

Story

Dawson County Veterinary clinic is mixed animal practice, providing services to cattle, horses, dogs, and cats.
Small animal services include vaccinations, general medicine, surgery, reproduction, and dentistry. In order to provide quality care to our patients, the practice is well equipped with an in-house lab, ultrasound, digital radiography, EKG, and anesthetic monitoring equipment.
We also provide equine services such as artificial insemination, stallion collection, dentistry, medicine, and lameness evaluation.
For our cattle producers, we offer herd health work, bull fertility testing, herd health consultations, pregnancy testing, ultrasound, and obstetrics. In addition, we have a portable Silencer hydraulic cattle chute that reduces stress on cattle and improves the efficiency of herd work.
The clinic is currently staffed by three veterinarians, Dr. Jen Majueras, Dr. Kyle Voss and Dr. Cara Voss.
Although Dr. Kyle sees both large and small animals, his primary interest is beef cattle medicine. In addition to his veterinary degree, he became more specialized with a Master's degree in Beef Production Medicine. He is also an adjunct faculty member at Montana State University and Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Prior to working in private practice, he worked as a technical services veterinarian developing a new system to identify cattle.
Dr. Cara Voss has over 16 years in general mixed animal practice. Prior to moving to eastern Montana, she practiced in Kansas, South Dakota, and Texas. She enjoys seeing small animal and equine patients. Dr. Cara is an avid horse lover and has a strong interest in equine medicine. One of her favorite aspects of practice is equine reproduction.
Dr. Jen Majueras joined the practice in June of 2014. She is a recent graduate of Washingston State University. She grew up on a Montana cattle ranch and has an interest in both large and small animals.

My Brittany got quilled by a porcupine on our last day hunting pheasant before heading back to South Carolina. After removing 80% of them in the field it was clear she would need sedation for the rest. The staff here was pleasant, quick, professional, and very fair in price. I could not recommend them more.

I thought my dog had worms because he all of a sudden became very ill after we changed his diet from hard food to soft food. Glendive was helpful on that part because they explained that you can't just flip from hard to soft, you need to ease them into the change or your pet can get worms. So they gave me an antibiotic for my dog to get rid of the worms. I gave it to him like I was supposed to & it seemed like he was only getting sicker, like it was killing him so I stopped giving it to him & thank God he started recovering from the antibiotic. It was so scary! I'll never take my dog there again.
