A non-profit organization whose mission is to provide leadership in improving the health care system in DC by advocating for the interests of member hospitals as they support the interests of the community.
Founded in 1978, the District of Columbia Hospital Association (DCHA) is a non-profit organization with 16 member hospitals and approximately 35 Associate Members. The Association has been in the forefront of the debate on a wide range of national health issues, and locally, DCHA works closely with government and non-government officials to meet community health needs.
To provide leadership in improving the health care system in the District of Columbia, advocating for the interests of member hospitals as they support the interests of the community. To this end DCHA will:
Represent and advocate for its member hospitals;
Provide a forum to solve common problems and achieve common goals;
Assist its members to meet community health care needs; and
Encourage health services research and education.
