Dr. Lee and his team are excellent. They are without exception courteous, professional and trustworthy. I have been a patient for many years with no complaints or issues. They make me feel like they truly care about me as a person and a patient. Sometimes dental work can be scary but I know I'm in good hands with Dr. Lee.

Fantastic practice! Very convenient, timely appointments, reliable service. The work to find and fill my cavities was as painless as possible. My hygienist is so thorough, honest and supportive in getting my teeth to the cleanest they've ever been. Could not recommend enough.

Abysmal, unethical bullying and dishonest behavior by Dr Thomas Shin - he behaved like an utterly uneducated cowboy. As soon as I arrived for my surgery, I got immediately bullied into signing a factually incorrect malpractice waiver form - which falsely state that I had been made aware of all the (scary!) risks listed, even though Dr Shin hadn't bothered to talk to me about any such risks at all. I insisted on FIRST discussing the risks before signing the form (which stated such a discussion had taken place!) - so they just kept me waiting for an hour. When Dr Shin finally bothered to see me, he again insisted that I immediately sign the form and refused to discuss the risks with me; when I explained that I couldn't sign a legal document that was actually a completely false statement, he then became absolutely irate, and instead threw a toddler's tantrum and stormed out, leaving me waiting for another hour. He never came back, and even his staff didn't know what he was doing or what was going on with my surgery. I was just left there, waiting in total for 2 hours, all a complete waste, as Dr Shin refused to reappear and let me know what was going on. ((I am a CEO of a social enterprise, and really don't have time to waste on uneducated bullies like this!)) Seriously, I haven't seen a grown man behave like toddler throwing a tantrum because he didn't get what he demanded: it was almost funny looking back because he was so ridiculous, but at the time, seeing an irate man unable to control his rage (at a female refusing to obey his instructing to sign a factually incorrect legal consent waiver!!) was actually very scary. I've discussed with my lawyer and we are submitting complaints to the DC Dental Society and the DC DOH. As my lawyer explained, only a cowboy would behave as Dr Shin did. Stay away . There is NO excuse for Dr Shin's abysmal, unethical, bullying, tantrum-throwing behavior.

I've been going to DC Light Dental for a year now and I've been very impressed with Dr. Lee and my dental hygienist! They're so friendly and thorough, Dr. Lee would never push for unnecessary treatment or surgeries. My dental hygienist taught me how to floss effectively and correctly! I never feel rushed and I can always ask them questions. The front desk staff are friendly as well. I would recommend to all my friends and family!
