The Campground is clean with good shower building. The laundry area is very small with no room to sort and fold clothes. One big area of concern is there is no one available after hours to call if there is emergency. And there is no one monitoring grounds after hours to maintain quiet times. We experienced continual parties by inconsiderate campers Nothing was done by management to correct issue on a long term basis. Will not stay here again for that reason. That's too bad because it could be excellent place.

Absolutely love it! Very well maintained, patrolled and monitored place, and surprisingly well priced, compared to the other area campgrounds. Very peaceful, serene place with plenty of beautiful views, places to explore, and things to do. After reading some of the severely negative reviews, that I personally can vouch for and confidently debate that they are all completely baseless. 1) The person complaining that campsites were quoted as $40 per day... Honestly, if your camper/motorhome is something like 20 or 25 years old or more, then you can almost guarantee being refused a monthly rate at ANY decent campground/resort, unless it is either fully restored, or so well maintained that the original paint and fixtures still look fairly new. These places are resorts, and if they allowed old, broken down vehicles and trailers to take up residence, then almost overnight campground resorts like this would become "trailer parks" ridden with a criminal element. I have traveled all over the country, and I encountered this with my first RV, and while I thought it to be unfair, as time past, I understood the principle behind it. As for no after hours, in case of emergency..... There are several employees that live on the property, and while they are not available for simple nonsense issues after hours, nor are they advertised as even being here, if something serious were to happen, they would immediately take care of the problem, 24/7. I have gone for walks as late as 11pm, and more than once I have seen them out on their golf carts that late, so their are honestly no worries for me and my 3 teenage boys over anything like this. Gotta add a more positive note to my initial review though... the wildlife that can occasionally be seen is great. Almost ran over a baby alligator a few nights back, as I was coming in the park entrance. It just sat there, and refused to move, (obviously frightened) I carefully picked up the 18inch little guy, and placed him into the river. Lived in FL off and on for most of my life, and this was the first time I handled an alligator of any size without a professional assisting.... FYI.... don't try this at home (he did his best to take off my fingers once I picked him up. I'd still rather save him though). lol

Me and my friends decided to stay at this KOA camp in Deland. They have monthly rates at $575, they tried to tell us it was $40 a day that they did not have monthly rates. We had other campers telling us they absolutely had a monthly rate of $575. This KOA camp will overcharge you they overcharged us approximately $300 The restaurant is absolutely horrible I ordered food on the phone went there to pick it up and no one even took my order I had to wait an hour. The manager absolutely tell me that no one put the order in. We got our food for free and it was horrible. Think twice before you stay there!

Gravel/grass sites - parking lot type setting surrounding a marina. The only amenity to speak of is a dog park. The bathrooms and showers were clean. WiFi worked but no cable at the site. No picnic table at our site or within the area to carry over.. We were given a narrow site backed up close to a large motor home. Many pull through double sites stayed vacant the entire weekend. People seemed nice until we were leaving Easter Sunday. We had payed for late checkout on Friday for Sunday 3pm. So Sunday, at 1pm, my wife and I were taking care of our hookups and breaking things down. We were asked if everything was OK by a KOA lady on a golf cart. We said yes, but knew something was up. Then the guy operating a sit down mower, after mowing grass strips for hours on Easter Sunday, decided.... he could wait no longer, and proceeded to mow around us, our entire rig and site as we knelt at the electrical stantion and cranking up jacks. 3/4" gravel is everywhere by the way. After we were on the road I checked my voicemail. One VM was KOA confirming check out at 11am. I called her back and advised we payed for late checkout. She apologized; she didn't know. Every 5 years or so I'll give a KOA a try. Lol, just to confirm my thinking on 99% of franchises in general. Yup, lol, still the same. Place is pretty busy though for what ya get with some nice rigs. But there is nice cars/trucks at Olive Garden too, so........its probably me.
