This does not even deserve one star. My husband and I prepaid with points to stay here the night of our wedding. When we showed up still in a dress and suit they told us they had complications with our room. They told us they were paying for us to stay at the Hyatt instead and would refund our points. We were a little annoyed but still on cloud nine as newlyweds and went over to the Hyatt. When we got to the Hyatt, they told us they knew some rooms had been moved over to them, but that they didn’t actually have a reservation for us. Basically, here we are in our wedding clothing after midnight on our wedding night at hotel #2 and still don’t have a place to stay. After 45 minutes of back and forth calls and looking for our reservation we were told we simply didn’t have a room even though we had paid ahead of time. My husband’s whole family was visiting and staying in our place so we ended up staying with friends in their hotel room ON OUR WEDDING NIGHT. After this whole ordeal we tried to get our points back since we were never given a room and still have not been refunded. Both hotels blame each other and have done nothing to make this right. I will never stay at either hotel again, but I most specifically blame Marriott since they are the ones we booked with in the beginning and still have our points.

We have always loved staying at any Marriott hotel. However this stay knocked down the star count. First, our room was entered by hotel staff even though we had the do not disturb sign covering the keycard scanner. Second, there was remodeling going on a floor above ours so when we checked in we were informed of this but was promised that they contractors wouldn't start until 10am on Sunday morning....0655am and all we heard was hammering and concrete drills. Lastly when we arrived we were not allowed to park in the underground parking garage even though it was not full and were forced into the valet parking line...$35 later for a one night stay we left.

Visited Marriott Downtown twice this year for two events. One was a 3 day conference and the other for a corporate dinner. Both times it was a pleasure to visit the Marriott. The location is always clean and we'll maintained and the staff is always friendly and helpful. The food was good and the amenities are great. I do wish the restaurant could have been open more, but it's understandable with the lack of business to have it open more. Overall all my experiences at the Marriott have been very enjoyable.

Went for a job interview. The valet service was very friendly and took great care of my car. They had a very clear and clean driveway. The hotel itself was well kept and had friendly and helpful service associates. I did not stay so I am unsure what the rooms are like, but I do know that in my previous stays at Marriott hotels I've really enjoyed how clean the rooms are and how comfortable the beds are.

Street parking is a bit challenging/limited. The staff are warm and attentive; directing us where to meet our party for an event and then offering to serve food as my partner and I had arrived late. Food was good. Service was awesome! I can't speak to the quality of the rooms.
