I bought a pair of female rats from this store. They were a month and a half old and being kept with a male rate. Three weeks after I brought them home one of my girls had a litter! When I called to tell them about this the woman honestly seemed like she could care less that they sold me a pregnant rat. Completely unapologetic and honestly didn't seem to know why I was calling about it. I looked it up and rats reach sexual maturity at 5 weeks so I don't know why the girls weren't separated from the male. I had to buy a nursery cage, use more food and bedding, and now I have to find homes for 8 baby rats I was not planning on having to care for. I love my girls but I will be going to Clark's from now on.

This is one of the best pet stores I've ever been to! Very welcoming & a wide variety of quality pets! The staff is very helpful & the owner goes above & beyond to ensure every customer is happy & well informed on whatever they are wanting to purchase.

I wasn't going to post a review at all because as a business owner myself, I know how reviews can affect a business but this was just ridiculous to say the least. My fiance called last Wednesday to find out if they had any metal ferret cages in so I could stop by after work and get one if they had one since it's on my way home. The chick said she was new, was all by herself that evening working, and had no idea if they had ferret cages. My fiance asked her if she could go check. She asked if she could have the owner call him back in a few. He said he was kind of in a hurry because I had to get home and was just getting off work and didn't want to waste my time stopping if they didn't have what we needed and would stop by another pet store. She finally said she would check and comes back on the phone and says, we have a metal PARROT cage. Ummm, no, for a FERRET. She literally said she didn't know what that was and that the owner would be back soon and to call back and hangs up on him. Then he called back, was just her again. She put him on hold and he can hear in the background people talking and customer possibly checking out and not once does she get back on the phone. Then. She hangs up the phone. He was done and didn't want to call back. I decided to not stop by and went to another store to get the cage I needed because they had one. Again, just the other day, another call was made to see if what kind of birds they had in, if any. We are looking to add to our family and it was the same chick. She said she had no clue.... but she's sitting at the store and she has no clue what birds they have in or whether or not they have birds at all. How is this even possible?? I gave two stars because I'm not saying the business as a whole deserves one star. I am giving two stars because the business is alright but because of that employees actions and customer service, I had to bring it to the stores attention somehow and make people aware. No one should be working in a pet store if they don't know anything about animals or at least working alone for that matter. Training can be done and she can learn.... but shouldn't be working by herself when she doesn't know what a ferret is. What birds the store has, or cages they carry or where to find the cages. And a little bit better customer service and there would be no complaint because as long as you're nice, and friendly, and attempt to help the customer- regardless if you know what you're doing or not, I would be a little more sympathetic towards the employee, store, and issues we just dealt with but she honestly didn't seem to care at all and I wouldn't have an employee working for my store that could care less about customers or their needs because that causes businesses to loose money, when it could have been $1000 in two transactions spent if we were taken care of.

Best place to get just about any exotic pet or fish you can think of, great prices and the owner is very nice and very knowledgeable would recommend this place over the big brand pet stores any day

Nice ppl animals are healthy and active store needs some help but other than that it's a nice environment
