This place is beyond awesome! Puppies are loved all day by staff and visitors. The "condos" are temperature controlled and provide the pups with free access to water so they can drink freely without tipping over a water bowl. The bottles are safe and sterile, as is their condos. Diamonds and Doggies is located in Lauderdale by the Sea, a very popular family and tourist destination. They have never failed an inspection and has been advised they are always compliant and cleaner than most restaurants. All are welcome, you must come experience this beautiful place yourself!

This store makes me sick. I moved from Fort Lauderdale 3 years ago. Came back and found it’s still open. Smell of chemical cleaner is so strong. Clearly puppy mill dogs, and they sell tacky jewelry. Get a ring and maybe a dog too?! Whole thing is just awful !

Went into Diamonds and Doggies looking for a new dog. Asked one of the workers if i can see one, she told me to wait for a play room to open up. 20 minutes went by with 2 play rooms open. Asked the worker again if i can now see the dog, she looked at me up and down and said “these dogs are for buying not playing.” When i clearly told her i was interested in that dog. Horrible and judgmental!!!! old lady btw.

A close family friend of ours purchased a puppy from here last month. 
She died four days later because she contracted Parvo virus while in this store's care. The veterinarian assessing her said that it more than likely came from the puppy mill that is the "trusted supplier" for Diamonds and Doggies. Since Parvo is extremely contagious, it would not be surprising if multiple of their animals also die from this in the coming weeks and months. If you care about animal rights, do not support this company. Do your research before purchasing and help prevent unjust acts like this from continuing.

Wow, shocked, and completely embarrassed is really the only reaction I can have to going to this store. We been talking about visiting this store for a long time, after losing my precious furbaby of 15 years. I live just down the street so my friends always tell me to stop by so me and my family went to visit. When I saw such a sweet puppy there I thought maybe this was it! Maybe I can surprise my husband that has been wanting a puppy for so long now! It was meant to be that this sweetheart was just staring at us like "hey can I come home with you?" 

The person working with the pups was so sweet. She let us hold the puppy and talked to us about the what was included with purchasing her and I was telling her about how I lost my little 4 legged soulmate. All of a sudden, the manager, I think her name was Janet or Janice walked over and said "that's enough" really rude to us. Not sure why we were treated that way. Next thing you know, she was reprimanding her employee saying that was just ridiculous that we were holding the puppy for a couple minutes. I walked up to the counter where Janice/Janet was talking down to her employee that was helping us and asked her name just so I can speak to her boss hoping that maybe we can tell him that we were interested in a puppy, just need more then 5 minutes to decide. 

My mom and sister that are visiting, came up to me while speaking to Janice/Janet to see if she understood we were interested in the puppy to please not be upset with her worker, that she was telling us about how she would get a vet visit a year and her shots along with everything that came with purchasing her ect. She started being rude and my mom said "listen we own our own business, we are not just coming in to hold a puppy". That's when Janice/Janet spoke very loudly in front of all the customers "I deal with your type every day!" At that point I was so confused as to what just unfolded in a couple minutes. It went from looking to take the sweet puppy home, to the manager embarrassing us as we walked out. Somewhere in that moment of chaos, I told her I will talk to the owner of the store, and she yelled "Call the owner he knows what I deal with every day!" Wow!!!!! So all customers get treated like this? Ouch! Was it because we were in our beachwear? I don't talk about my bank account, but we have plenty of money to buy all the puppies in that store if we wanted too. At this point we all just thought, this isn't the way anyone should be treated and just walked out. All we heard is the manager laughing and repeating in a condensing  way "BYE BYE BYE" really loudly as we were walking out. 

Dress in your finest, maybe bring your bank account info if you want respect? I'm not sure. It's just terrible that a manager is that rude and apparently the owner is ok that she treated us this way since she stated it's ok to call him "he knows what she deals with every day." ???? So sad....
