Lied to us. We said due to travel issues we would be checking in late. The first lady we spoke with said it was fine. The 2nd employee said they would note it on my reservation. The 3rd employee we spoke to said we would be charged for the room and then the reservation would be cancelled and we wouldn't be allowed to check-in because from midnight till 3am they audit their computers so God forbid you check in at that time. We ended up staying at the horseshoe hotel which was way better and the staff understands that sometimes, when you travel, you can't check in at a time the hotel suggest you check in. Next time I'm in town, I'll sleep in my car before I stay at diamond "craps"

Only took a few min to check in. The front desk was great. Got to my room and it had a sitting area. The room was clean and loved the jacuzzi tub. Made for a  relaxing night after being on the road. We ate the all you can eat fish & shrimp, what a deal. We will definitely be back. Thanks again

If I could give a negative star, I would.... I was just there on April 11th 2018 and it was the worst experience I've ever had at a casino! The staff was rude, none of the machines would take my card, you can't reinsert the money vouchers into another machine, you have to go to the cashier to turn in your tickets, every time. Not once did I get approached by a cocktail waitress.. it was dirty, the bathrooms smelled horrible.. floors are stained, and sticky.. Will never go there again.. disgusting, unprofessional.. hated it! Gross

If you just want a place to sleep this is a decent spot.  There is ZERO luxury or modern amenities in the room.  It included a 27" old school box SD TV and a Jacuzzi tub.  I didn't use the Jacuzzi tub cause although the tub itself looked clean enough, the brown buildup on and around the jets wasn't something I was willing to subject my skin to...syphillis lurks in hidden places people (I'm kidding but you get my point).  The walls in the rooms are the thinnest u think I've ever encountered at a hotel.  The people in the room next to us came in around 2 a.m. and I could hear every word they said even though it sounded like they were speaking at normal volumes and not yelling.  

The casino...its about the size of a luxury suite at a swanky hotel.  No lie.  Dassit.

We only at at The Grille that's open. Late night and it was surprisingly tasty with large portions.  

We came back to the hotel around 1045pm and were directed to go to the valet at the Casino entrance instead of the hotel entrance but there was no one there.  Not a big deal considering that the valet is free but it would be nice for them to actually be there.   

Bad stay?  Nah.  Great stay?  Nah.  Overall, just decent.  The room was clean and had beds and a shower.  For $145/night it could've been better but I didn't have high expectations so...

The place is old and the rooms are  needing updated. I've never stayed at a hotel that didn't have a safe in each room. I have now. The casino is very small. The hours I spent in the casino I didn't hear or see a winner. It was my first time visiting Louisiana and my last time to stay at Diamond Jacks Hotel & Casino
