Dinosaur BBQ has always been a favorite stop, was looking forward to trying Newark Dinosaur after having been to Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse & Troy. The decor here is nice, but not to the same level as the others. The staff here was great! Very friendly & all worked well together & engaged their customers. Service like the others was quick with a nice variety of food. The food choices change slightly from each one which makes it nice. For those attending games, I suspect it is like all the rest of the Dinosaurs, it is always busy, you rarely can get seated within 45+ minutes, however once you 've been seated, food is normally quick.

The BBQ brisket was really delicious; it failed to soften in my mouth but it absolutely had that excellent BBQ flavor to it. The St. Louis Ribs has an remarkable BBQ Grill smoked taste to it that become absolutely YUM; it wasn't falling off the bone, however the taste made up for that. The aspect dishes I were given have been pretty basic, mashed potatoes and coleslaw, however they were delicious and not overly pro. loved it.

So we just came from here , we reached at 10:40 there were customers sitting that didn't receive their food yet , waitress looked at us and rolled their eyes, and proceeded to not acknowledge us . Finally someone noticed and greeted us and sat us at the bar . The guy at the bar had dreads he didn't even say hello hands us the menu and says the kitchen is closed . Like why sit us if the kitchen is closed ? I swear every time I come here it's something. I understand hiring within the community but their hiring people with no sense of customer service walking around in slippers serving? Really long weaves not in a ponytail really? Won't be coming back . If u want good service don't eat here.

I can't even give 1 star. Came in for an event at the Pru Center and expected it would be busy so the massive crowd in the restaurant was to be expected. What I didn't expect was to be told a 30 minute wait..... that turned into me an hour later asking how many 2 tops were ahead of us.... to be told the wait would be another 20+ minutes. This would have put us at over 1.5 hour wait and missing the start of the concert. We left and I ate a pretzel for dinner. It's been a full day later and I'm still waiting for my TEXT that my table is ready. Obviously they do not care if they have repeat customers.... they feel that because they are so close to the venue they will always be busy.

Fried green tomatoes were awesome! Harlem potato salad was the best I've ever had. Everything was absolutely delicious! Shanetta was great! If I lived in Jersey, I'd be here all the time.
