I have been a client of Divine Destiny Hair Salon for over seven years receiving services for full weaves, color, precision cuts and styles. Regina is very personable and has a great atmosphere in her establishment. Regina has been in the beauty industry for over 20 years and is skillful at providing exceptional customer service. I don't ever do this, but my spirit is not allowing me to brush this one under the rug. Before I booked my appointment, I let you know that I have natural hair. At that point, I wish you told me you do not know how to deal with natural hair. Because I never would have walked in to your salon if I knew you would do to my hair what you did to it. You see, natural hair shrinks/springs back & tangles when washed. That doesn't mean it is dead hair..as you called it. Why did you cut out so much of my good hair....especially in the back?? I realized how bad it was when my husband asked me what happened to my hair with a look of shock & disguise on his face. I have been on my natural hair journey for 5 years now so I know a few things about how to handle it & cutting it while wet is definitely not one of them. I'm not hung up on length, that is why I get my hair trimmed after getting my braids out but as many hair stylists I've been to before, you managed to damage my hair the most because of your poor techniques.  I wanted a trim, not a haircut...how did I go from shoulder blade length volumnous hair to almost no hair in the back?? That was not dead hair Regina. It is natural hair, so yes, it requires time, patience & good technique to wash, blow dry & flat iron. I keep asking myself....why did you do that??  Could you possibly have so much hate in you to damage someone's hair like that?? I wonder how many more people you have done this to. I had long thick beautiful shoulder length hair that I worked so long & hard to get to that point and you absolutely ruined it. I'm so hurt & disappointed. I know it's just hair & it will grow back but this is unacceptable.  You might know how to deal with permed hair...I will never know...but please...if you truly serve the God whose name you kept invoking yesterday, then please I beg you, do the right thing, do not touch another clients natural hair. At least not before taking some classes/training on how to handle natural hair. 

To my natural hair sisters: Please do not go here. If you do, do not get your hair trimmed/cut.

I have been a client of Divine Destiny Hair Salon since I moved to Texas approximately a year and a half ago. Ms. Regina encourages healthy hair and provides guidance regarding upkeep no matter what texture. I have been able to take better care of my thicker hair due to Ms. Regina taking the time out to learn my hair and educate me about maintenance. The salon is in a great environment and scheduling appointments is easy and very accessible via her website.

Love Regina and her professionalism. She has helped my hair grow and become very healthy. I've been going to her for almost 3yrs and I've never had bad service. My hair is natural and she has taught me so much about how to care for my hair and what styles and products work best. I recommend her to anyone of any race/ethnicity. I wont trust my hair to anyone else.

I called to find out how much a sew in would be and spoke to Regina. She had a very bougie attitude from the moment that she opened her mouth. I don't care about how classy you think you are, I care about whether or not you can do my hair well and at a reasonable price. She told me that it would be 275 for a partial sew in or 25 dollars per track. Since this is more than double the price at other salons I kindly asked her why her service was so much higher. I thought maybe it came with some bundles. Instead of getting a simple answer to a simple question she immediately attacked me stating," look if it's not in your budget just save up and call back." I told her I could afford it but I just wanted to know why I would be paying more than double the regular price for this service. In her combative tone she stated, "I am unable to tell you why my services are so expensive at this time." Wow, so your services are NOT more expensive because you provide great, quality service or because it comes with bundles. You simply charge more because you have a bougie attitude and get mad when people figure it out. The best part is, after my experience I did some research and word on the streets is she can't even do sew ins (see other reviews). She is charging upwards of 300 dollars and basically duping people because she doesn't know how to do a sew in.
