Story

A creative and artistic hair designer and stylist with true passion for the craft, DJ has served his clients in the greater San Francisco Bay Area for over a decade after working for some time in a high-profile Hollywood salon. Having studied under internationally acclaimed masters in Thailand, Italy and the US, he brings with him a wealth of advanced techniques in haircutting, color and styling, as well as a well-developed aesthetic sensibility that allows him to tailor his work to the specific needs of his clients.

Displaying a truly creative spirit since childhood, DJ has long drawn inspiration from the realms of theater, dance, fashion and film to visualize hair solutions across an entire spectrum of traditional, contemporary and forward-thinking styles. It is his meticulous professionalism, combined with a dedication to advanced training, that affords DJ the opportunity to deftly employ all the tools available within the stylist’s creative palette.

DJ is legendary for creating natural-looking highlights that continue to blend seamlessly and look fantastic even as a client’s hair grows longer. He also specializes in the composition of stunning “updos” specifically envisioned for special occasions and elegant events. A CURL SPECIALIST in addition to a stylist, He has also mastered the art of cutting curly locks and been certificied by DevaCurl as Deva Certified Curl Specialist. DJ has also mastered the art of flawless airbrushing for wedding day perfection and most recently studied under Emmy Award-winning makeup artists Thom Surprenant and Ashlee Petersen. He has always been committed to continued education to bring new trend and technology to perfect his craft.
