Saw some bad posts & wanted to have my say. Went to Don's 2 years ago for 2 new belts for my old snow blower not a brand they deal with. I had my numbers from the machine & they got me the needed belts NO trouble . Thank's for the good service. Lost my slip with the belt numbers, so this year I hope they can look them up for me again.

The owner & the mechanic, Ricky are cool but the owners son is a total shmuck. I unfortunately had financial difficulties & as a result, could not pick up my machine in a timely manner but the owner was still courteous. The son- total DB & treats customers like dirt & has the personality of a brick.

I recently posted a very honest review on Don's with their employees attitudes Shawn and Ricky to be specific I took a lawn boy lawnmower their 3'months ago I called today spoke to Joe he stated the mower has not been fixed or looked at and to come pick it up I asked why the mower has not been looked at or repaired he stated is was because of a honest post from me a month ago .The owner Don should have called me a month ago to resolve a simple matter we have spent about 2k in 6 months and I have referred a few friends and neighbors this is no way to treat any customer I encourage everyone to shop around for honest service we will never bring or refer anyone to Don's power equipment there are plenty of other repair facilities who are honest and reliable I will also be filing a compliant with the BBB use caution and keep your receipts After my first posting I was told many to come in the back instead of the owner Don saying I bring crap in for starters that unprofessional for starters you have to look at the source he did state that I came as they were locking up that was at 11:45 there outdated website says they are open until 4 or 5 on Saturdays​ he did refund me for skid plates that at no time did I or anyone mention skid they took it upon themselves to replace them they never called or anything my 2 k every season will go to a honest repair shop there is no communication at Don's the owner knows me and my and should have called his loss not mine we will be contacting the BBB also going to go small claims court when Shawn took the skid plates off he damaged my piece of junk snow blower ?

Don's Power Equipment deserves a better rating than the initial review, mostly because of its prompt, professional, courteous, and informative response. We look forward to a speedy repair (given that five plus weeks already passed) or updates on any further delays in the mail, if those continue. On a bright note, freeing up the shop space will even earn more stars!

I have been going to Don's for two years the used to be great now when you drop something off they almost seem like they do not want to do it our money pays there salaries they should remember that there are two mechanics Ricky and Sean great mechanics zero customer service skills .I had two bring a snow blower back a few weeks ago and Ricky was upset and was rude to my wife she is a Chelsea girl and put him in his place .A few days ago I dropped off a MTD blower to have the carb cleaned and have the belts checked and replaced if needed I went today March 18th to pick it up and the owner's wife went through the receipt and said the skid plates were replaced and that was $46.00 for a total of $176.00 at no time did I authorize anyone to replace skid plates these are $10 items I told the owner's wife to take them off I was not paying for them well let's say she was not happy and had no answer why they were touched the mechanic Sean was real upset rude and some unpleasant remarks they should remember that I spent over $2,500 in the last 6 months I will be calling the Don tomorrow and keep everyone updated Thompsons in Salem may be a better option
