2 stars because he "does what he was taught" in regards to the delivery of your child, post and prenatal care. As a person, he is very condescending and arrogant. When it came to my prenatal care, he allowed his personal situations to interfere with how he treated my family during our visit. If I wasn't 8 months pregnant with our first child, we would've changed doctors, but after speaking to his APRN we decided to move forward. She (APRN) told me that he "can be in his feelings at times but I was almost finished". He was not only rude to my family but he was also rude to a coworker who he "didn't know he was suppose to check on" after her birth. Since there were some miscommunication between Dr. Houck and Dr. Brown's staff, he took his frustrations out on her. During my birth, he was often no where to be found and had an attitude with my family...because they were simply asking a few "too many" questions. After the administering of the epidural, Dr. Brown had advised me that my unborn child's head was no where near my pelvic area. 11 hours went by and nurses came in trying to relinquish some of the pain and discomfort (yes, after the epidural), nothing was changing. I finally asked for them to find my doctor so I can have a C-section, when Dr. Brown arrived he stated "yeah we should've took him out a while ago, he hasn't moved". At that point, I couldn't even deal with the fact that instead of being an active doctor, and suggesting a C-section hours ago, he decided to have me lay there in pain. But it's not over...during my surgery the pain medication was not being distributed properly (per the anesthesiologist). When we were informing the doctor of the mistake, he refused to believe us and started to say that "we didn't know what we were talking about", as he laughed. I could go on about how the long labor caused my child to be in the ICU for a week, but that would be another paragraph. Ultimately, if you enjoy having an egotistic doctor who ridicules your thoughts and opinions, ignores your cries for help, chooses what is "best" for him and not what is "best" for your care, an overall impatient but capable of doing his "job", then Dr. Brown is a perfect match. Good luck.

I LOVE Dr. Brown. Dr. Brown had been my OB/GYN for over 25 years and is now my daughters OB/GYN. We don't want to go to anyone else ever. We just hope he doesn't retire before she has children.

Dr. Brown is about to deliver our 5th baby, 3 of which he has brought into this world. I would absolutely recommend him. He has taken great care of me, my many medical hurdles, and all 3 of the babies that have been in his care. He makes time for thorough appointments and always addresses to my concerns and questions. Not to mention he's a pretty great guy too.
