Story

Opened in August of 2003 Dos Amigos Burritos, was founded under the simple idea that a restaurant could provide fresh, healthy food at an affordable price. We are committed to offering our amigos a unique Mexican meal in a relaxed environment, using the tastiest ingredients available. Our diverse menu is filled with customized options that should appeal to almost anyone: from the pickiest eaters to the most seasoned burrito-aficionados (we even have options for vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free diets).

Our menu includes massive burritos, tasty tacos (good if you want to sample several things), quesadillas grilled to perfection, extraordinary salads, our award-winning chili, and unique side dishes like grilled corn on the cob and char-grilled jalapenos stuffed with cream cheese and mushrooms.

All our recipes are prepared daily, using fresh meats and produce (local when available). Our customers can eat our food on the run and not feel guilty later about what they may be doing to their waistline.

In addition to providing a great meal, Dos Amigos employees want to make everyone feel welcome. Everything is made to order so our customers get only what they want. If you can think of a combination we can make it for you. Our name means "two friends" and we want all our customers to become our friends, too! Join us for our Deal Days on Family Sunday, $5 Burrito Monday, and $2 Taco Tuesday. There really is something for everyone at a price for anyone.

...oh yeah, and our history:

Returning home from college in 2001, Joel Harris settled into Portsmouth, New Hapshire. While his new home provided a diversitty of retaurants to chose from he found himself sorely missing the many burrito and taqueria restaurants that surrounded his campus at college. Deciding that Portsmouth needed a great burrito shop he partnered with friend Jay McSharry, owner of other great Portsmouth restaurants including Jumpin' Jay's Fish Café and Moxy, to create Dos Amigos Burritos.

The success of our Portsmouth location in 2003 lead to new stores being opened in Dover (May 2005), Concord (May 2007), Rochester (August 2010), and Manchester (September 2011). With five locations across New Hapshire, Dos Amigos is just beginning to write its own history.
