I have been to Double Dragon a couple of times and it has never let me down. The soy curls peanut sauce rice bowl is AMAZING and even my meat loving non-vegan boyfriend kept sneaking bites of my bowl. He loves their pork bahn-mi sandwich and he often craves it. I never complain about our last minute trips here because I know my taste buds will leave so happy!

Music was a little too loud for the social environment it seemed like they were going for during Happy Hour. Food was good. As for drinks, they did not have any standard top shelf alcohols, so they were not able to make any of the 4 (ordinary) drinks I asked for without major modifications. The one I settled on did not end up really anything like what I requested. Plus, the drink is usually served in a martini glass, but mine was served in a miniature champagne saucer (maybe 3 ounces). And the bartender had a bit of an attitude when I pointed it out. The other people with me got a Burnt Reynolds (which I guess they are known for) and a beer, both were perfectly happy. I thought everything we got was more expensive than it should have been, for the quantity and quality. Not likely to go back.

The food and drinks here are delicious. I got the chickpea fritters and they were amazing. Gluten free and vegan options are terrific.

In the pocket Ban Mi sandwiches, good cocktails, quick service, order at the bar joint. Established bar that fills the intermediate of bar/late night/quality quick bite or hang out joint.

My favorite bar in Portland. They make both my favorite drink, the Burnt Reynolds and also some of the best Bahn Mi I've had. Their soy curls are damn good too. Friendly staff, great food, good drinks.
