Lots of people swear by this place. The house it's in is more interesting than the food which is unremarkable Thai food.  On the plus side nothing is really bad.

I visited Basil Bar today. Shawn was bartending and made me this delicious drink that has an edible flower in it. Love this place!

The depth of the menu and the fantastic flavors make this a easy 4.9 star rating for me best Asian restaurant in Portland
When the weather is nice sit on the deck

Best thai food in all of Portland I wish they didn't close for a little mid day but I patiently wait for them to reopen anyway. Tom Kha is 10/10, Kao Soi 10/10, Pad Thai 10/10, Crab Rangoon 10/10, Coconut Zucchini 10/10, Popia Tod 10/10. The Basil bar has a lovely small environment, the stand up comedy isn't actually funny though but I guess everyone starts somewhere.
