The Doylestown Bookshop is a locally owned and operated bookstore dedicated to preserving the heritage and traditions of independent bookstore ideals. Since opening our doors in 1998 in downtown Doylestown we have been able to offer our customers an alternative to the ordinary. We carry an extensive inventory of new and nearly new books from classic literature to current bestsellers. Our staff is knowledgeable and friendly and able to help you choose the perfect book for you or your family.
In addition to books we carry a wide variety of other items including toys, games and puzzles, unique journals and notepads, greeting cards, gift bags/wrap, magazines and an eclectic mix of gift items like our classic book-themed t-shirts. We offer freshly brewed coffee and specialty coffee drinks, tea, soft-drinks and snacks to enjoy in our small cafe.
Each month we host a series of great events with both talented regional authors and writers with a national profile. We also offer a weekly story-time (Thursdays at 10:30 am) and monthly book clubs.
