Under his own power, using only 1 cane for
Assistance, into the hospital for a ankle replacement, HE HASN'T BEEN ABLE TO WALK SINCE!!!!   The ankle was ment to relive
much of his pain, and renew the lifestyle he
loved sooooo much. We were told it would take about 1 year to heal back to far better than it had been, Remember now, it has been over 2 years now, He can't WALK, OR, STAND
OR, ANYTHING THAT EVOLVES ANY THING
REQUIRING HIS FEET!!!!  He has become
Very Very depressed, refuses to go out,
Won't go anywhere, He's unable to do any
of the yard work, which was his passion.
     He uses a wheelchair in the house to go from room to room, and, a walker if he has to
Go anywhere important. He can't drive anymore, since his surgery, so he must always find a ride. Since his surgery, we have been to 2 other specialist.  Each telling us there is no way it can be repaired, He currently takes 6 Norco m 10s per day, but they are losing their power, soon he will have to find something else to replace them.Whats that going to be???  The replacement ankle was his rt foot,however his left hip is taking all the brunt of his weight and were told after 3 hip shots now, He needs it replaced,,,, THAT'S NOT GONNA HAPPEN,  LOOK AT HIS ANKLE REPLACEMENT, NOPE !!!
    This is not how these golden years were supposed to end.  Now we have to hire
EVERYTHING done,, mowing, triming,
snow removal,  painting, just about everything.
  Can't really afford all that on SS. 
2 years ago he was able to walk yet.
   So if you are thinking about a replacement
ankle, cause you have pain in your foot,
    Think about it hard... Don't let yourself be talked into it. I was told it was an easy fix.

After acting on the recommendation of a colleague who had a very positive experience, I've had both of my feet operated on by Dr Vora over the past year and have been extremely pleased. Dr Vora and his staff have always been professional and attentive to my questions, and I am very happy with the outcome of my surgeries.

I fell 30 feet to concrete 48 years ago in Champaign, Il. For years, I searched the top surgeons of 5 Chicago university hospitals looking for a surgeon I could trust that had completed a fellowship in foot & ankle. I had already had a triple arthrodesis on both feet and amputation had been discussed. Dr. Vora does his own surgery and I can't praise Dr. Vora enough. He always takes time to answer my questions. He is very professional yet friendly, kind, & patient. I had major reconstruction of my right foot & a total ankle replacement. Before surgery I used 2 canes to get around & now I mow my lawn. I live an hour away from Libertyville but would drive farther. His excellent surgical skills have changed my life.

Dr. Vora did surgery on my relative. Not only did it not fix the problem, it made things worse and more painful. They will never be able to do many of the things they once could, again. If I could give a rating of no stars, I would.

I met Dr.Vora almost 8 years ago, he has operated on both my feet several times . 
Dr Vora is extremely thorough in all area of patient care.  He is very easy to speak with and has left me walking with a smile .
