I went to two of the best retina doctors in Chicago before choosing Dr. Cohen. He was the only one that didn't make an immediate and decisive judgment about my condition. He gathered all the data points and engaged in a true didactic analysis. He explained to me in simple terms what he thought I was experiencing and why. There was no pretense, arrogance or superiority complex in his bedside manner which is rare in top tier practioners. Most of them speak to you in Latin and arrogantly dictate to you what you have and how they will treat it. This doctor is a breath of fresh air for those who like to take an active role and participate in the management of their own health care.

Dr Cohen has very poor judgement. His office had called asking for my wife's health history and I found it very difficult to speak to a lady called B who did not know English. I had to correct her English to make sure she understood my wife's health history which is critical in medical practice. After my wife had all the tests including pictures after painful IV shots Dr Cohen tells us he will "give our money back" and wants to terminate the doctor patient relationship. THIS IS TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL AND DANGEROUS TO THE PATIENT. It's one thing if he says this before my wife went through all the painful dye tests and another if he refuses to give us the results and wants us out of his office. AND ALL THIS WAS BECAUSE HE HAD MS BOGDANA WORKING FOR HIM WHO KNEW BUTLER ENGLISH! TOTALLY UNPRODESSIONAL AND DANGEROUS RETINA DOCTOR.
