Not Impressed At All! She said the bumps in my head were normal when I knew in fact I never had them before and said I had Alopecia Aerta when after getting a 2nd opinion and biopsy I ended up not having at all. Beware! On my follow up visit she said she could not help me and gave me no direction other than going back to my GP.

Originally I was very impressed with how short the wait time was both in the waiting room as well as in the patient room. But neither myself nor my daughter felt any connect with the Dr. Allen or her staff at all. They have horrible bedside manner and Dr. Allen herself prescribed medication yet did not explain the reasoning behind it or how it was to help or why this would be effective medication. In addition to this, getting the prescription that could only be ordered through a mail order pharmacy only was a nightmare. First staff argued over who I should call and then when I called them the mail order pharmacy had no record of a prescription being called in. The prescription that was to be picked up at a local pharmacy didn't have anything until almost closing time a good 4 hours after we were seen. Lastly, the office submitted all insurance billing under my name instead of my daughter, who was the patient. When I called to inform the staff of this they seemed as though they could care less but stated they would fix it. Over 2 weeks later still nothing received to my insurance company and when I call the office again to let them know they want to argue with me about it. What kind of doctor's office bills claims under the subscriber name vs. the patient's name? I understand they need subscriber info but ultimately it should be billed under patient's name. Getting a hold of any one at the office is also a nightmare, they apparently screen all of their calls vs. answering the phone as it rings.

I visited Dr. Allen's office to have her look at suspicious spots on my face. I was seen within 10 minutes of my appointment and I received treatment and was on my way in a very short time. The treatment was also very effective and the suspicious spots are gone. I was very pleased to find a dermatologist available at the Lake. Joyce

I went to her in April 2015 about a case of severly chapped lips. I had this condition for about 4 years about every 3 months. It was so bad when I had it that I could only eat if I cut everything into very small pieces. She prescribed some pills that I was to take 1 daily and I did for 1 month and it cleared up completely. I could now eat hard tacos again. Since it cleared up every so often I get a tingly feeling in my lips and I just take a pills for a few days and it is completely gone. I would and have recommended her to my friends.

I visited in February, 2015 about a spot that looked curious. I walked in, filled out some paperwork, and was seen all within 10 to 15 minutes. I decided to get the spot checked with a biopsy. The reason I gave this 3 out of 5 stars is because as soon as I consented, she basically went in and sliced off this spot. I had a lot of questions about this process as this was my first time, so I'd say her bed-side manner was fairly cold. Everything went fine, but being my first time, I was nervous, and would have liked her to talk me through what she was doing, and why. That would have comforted me and made me feel better. Otherwise, like I mentioned, I was in and out all within 30 minutes.
