Dr. Georgakakis suggested that I remove my ear tubes. I agreed. He assured me that this was a routine office procedure and that there would be no complications. He removed the left ear tube. And tore my eardrum! Immediately, my ear became clogged, and started throbbing. Within 20min I lost hearing in my left ear. I couldn't hear out of my left ear for 2 weeks! My ear became infected. It took a whole month for the infection to clear, and for my eardrum to heal.

I had an appointment, arrived early and waited only to be turned away. My insurance was given to them weeks before the appointment. After waiting in the reception area for my appointment, the receptionist greeted me and said my referral was not correct. I asked her if she would like to call my doctor or if I could get the proper form. She said she would check. After another fifteen minutes or so, she said she was unable to get the proper referral. She said (in front of others) that I could either pay the full amount or reschedule. I pondered the thought, decided that I did nothing wrong and they were fault for wasting my time. I said I'm leaving and left. I had taken the day off work without pay. I called my doctor. She said they could have easily provided the proper referral had they contacted them. Later, I mailed the doctor a letter explaining the situation so that I could hear their side. He did not respond. I would never recommend this doctor. He didn't respond nor seems to have a competent office staff.

My grandmother had to get a driver to take her to her appointment, and when she arrived was told that she had the wrong date. Be sure, she did not, 3 people witnessed and participated in the appointment setting. The receptionist was flippant and unhelpful, despite the 92 year old patient having vertigo and her 75 utest old driver practically begging and offering to wait. Do Florida doctors think they can abuse their elderly clients because there are so many here? I'm disgusted by the lack of service or professionalism. A doctor should know better, his staff should be trained to at least feign empathy. Grandma is waiting for an apology, unfortunately, she's likely to die first.

Saw Dr. Georgakakis today as a new patient. I was lucky to get my appointment moved up about 5 weeks due to a cancellation. The office staff was pleasant and cordial. There was a reasonably short wait to see the doctor. Dr. Gerogakakis was excellent. He took the time to explain everything he did. He even asked permission before performing any procedure during the examination. He gave me the price of the nasal endoscopy and asked if it was ok to procede. After the examination, he explained the options and suggested a treatment for my condition. No fuss, short and to the point. But, most important, I did not feel rushed or that he was in a hurry. He did not end the visit until I had asked all the questions I had. I really question the veracity of the 1-star reviews. I had a totally opposite experience.
