I went to Dr Meli with a torn meniscus. He did surgery but within weeks of the surgery I was still in pain. He told me it was arthritis, my fibromyalgia etc. As the knee pain became worse so did my back pain and he had me see a doctor in his office , actually several over the years but they never really gave me any answers. ( He has different doctors all the time!) so he put me in a knee brace and then I had to wear a back brace and I kept begging him there has to be something but he told me no so I wore those braces and used a cane for almost seven years. Then I saw a knee dr in another town and he told me my miniscus was still torn and there was a piece still stuck in there! Since then I have had another knee surgery and back surgery because I was walking wrong all that time! Dr Meli not only never had much time for me but he also changed his testimony in my legal case ! He works for insurance companies and he definitely didn't help this patient at all! Beware!!! His staff was always rushing me in and out as well as the doctor! These types of doctors cram as many patients in as they can and then when they are called to testify they change their stories!! I'm not supposed to talk about the case but I can talk about the dr who screwed it up! He is not on his patient's side! I'm so glad I finally found good doctors that helped me!!

I am posting this negative message because it's simply the truth. Seems like there was one agenda from this Doctor and that is only to get paid. I had knee surgery by this doctor several months ago and it feels worst then it did before the surgery. I'm a workers comp patient and feel like the system plays with the agenda that you that patient might be faking it. Well, according to Doctor Meli and one of his editorials I found in a magazine that I read not long ago. Every time I conducted a visit, I would explain to De. Meli the issues I was having. It seem to go in one ear and out the other. His main response was always, ( arthritis ). It's funny because I've never had any pain on my knee until the crash. I want to be clear, this is NOT a money case for me because I am not suing, I just want to get better and back to work. I remember one of my visits, I asked for a copy of my records and got harpooned, They charged me per page. Like they were not getting enough money already. My suggestion to all is do your research on the doctor. In my case I had no choice as it's a Worker's - Comp case and I was sent to him after the first doctor was just as bad. Good luck to others out there. I was able to switch doctors and hope the next one does not have the same (Worker's Comp.) mentality as this one has. When it comes to health, money should not matter, the agenda is to get better without the sneaky loopholes that's in place in our system with Worker's Comp and doctors. His article spoke about people faking their injuries but what he needs to do is look in the mirror and tell me what his agenda really is. In my opinion , it's all about money. Sad but true!!! Look, you can use this doctor if you choose to by all means but are you willing to take the chance with negative end results? I'm not and I won't.

Dr Meli blames everything on overweight heck I can be a doctor too! He speaks so fast and doesn't listen to the patients complaint. He is very dismissive and always in a rush. I wish I would have gone somewhere else. Terrible bedside manners.

Dr. Meli replaced my right shoulder ten years ago. Never a problem and always had time to answer questions.

Dr Meli is an awesome surgeon. As with any Dr office, he's busy and somewhat caotic at times but the surgeon , Dr Meli, is fantastic and that is what counts. I had my knee surgery and 2 weeks later I am pain free. I would recommend him anytime for any Orthopedic surgery or injury.
