I've been a patient of My Dentist for many many years. I usually go to the Nine Mile Rd location, but switched to the Fairfield location because it was closer to my home. The staff is friendly and I absolutely adore my dental hygienist. My entire family goes to get our teeth cleaned twice a year, every year. We've been going to the Fairfield location for about a year and a half. My 6 year old daughter got her teeth cleaned for the first time 6 months ago and my 4 year old son just got his cleaned for the first time last week. My husband and my daughter were scheduled to have their cleanings done mid-May, but we received a call this morning that Dr. Ken has decided to no longer see children. This was a complete shock to my husband and myself. Having just been in the office last week, nothing was said to me. This decision by the dentist is completely random and unprofessional. Why would you cancel an appointment for a child who scheduled this cleaning 6 months in advance? On top of it, he made the super sweet hygienist call and break the news to us. I have not had a very good experience with ANY dentist at either My Dentist location, so this was finally the push I needed to find another dentist within my insurance network. I will not give them another single dime. I will miss my cleaning lady terribly, but I hope she realizes her worth and finds another place of employment where she will not be abused and mistreated by a power hungry doctor.

best dentist ever! the staff was very sweet when i went in for a tooth extraction, which calmed me down about the procedure.  Dr. Nada Ilia did better than i could have ever hoped when extracting the tooth. i felt no pain or discomfort during or after the procedure. not to mention that they stuck to the price that they promised as well as taking the tooth out on my first visit as requested.

This is a great dentist! He does cosmetic as well as medical care. What a wonderful experience. I would recommend him to anyone! He will always be "My Dentist" - thanks Dr. Kates for all you did for me and my sons!

AWFUL! I finally found the name of this crap hole. I went here when I was younger to get a root canal. I was in twilight when they came at me with a REUSABLE metal needle (seriously, not disposable. I'm sure it was autoclaved, but I don't trust them, that is CHEAP as hell).  Halfway through the procedure, the idiot dentist blew up my tooth with the drill. I mean literally, blew it up. They stopped to confer, and after not telling me anything and leaving me scared and partially sedated, he comes back and starts slamming at my mouth with an implement to get what's left of my tooth out. So now I have a hole in my mouth, and they had the nerve to charge for a root canal anyway. I was young and stupid and I paid them rather than fight it. $1100 dollars for what was basically an extraction. Fast forward to ten years later, I had to be sedated just to get my teeth cleaned because I still have panicked flashbacks of that awful place. My current dentist couldn't believe what I told him about this place. DO NOT GO HERE.
