I came in as a new patient, for a yearly physical. My insurance fully covers a yearly physical. I was immediately lied to by the team when I asked about my yearly check up being covered on their end as well. They charged me a $150 new patient visit and did not tell me I was not going to get a physical. I was so confused as to why the doctor asked basic questions and chatted for a bit. I would not have gone through with this visit if they told me this was a new patient visit versus a physical exam!! This is how they make their money. Very dissapointed.

My husband and I have been patients of Dr. Sextons for at least 5 years and LOVE the professional team and medical treatments we have received.  I would recommend Dr. Sexton to anyone .  Recently I had back surgery in April by Dr. F. Coufal, who Dr.sexton recommended.  It was a success and now Dr. Sexton is helping me with a home detox to get off the opiates I have been taking for 5 years.  I am now weeks away from an Opiate FREE life.  My husband and family are so happy.  I see light at the end of the tunnel.  Thank you professional team and Dr. Sexton🙏

Dr Sexton rocks! I have seen many doctors in my life but he really is the best! He cares, he spends time with you. Listens to all your problems mental and physical and solves them all. You have changed my life! Thank you Dr. Sexton.

I called Dr. Sexton's office today because I wasn't feeling well and had no energy.  I called at 8:00 and had an appt. the same day at 9:30.  He listened to all my concerns, took vitals and was very thorough.  His nurse took notes the whole time so he could focus on me 100%.  Dr. Sexton proceeded to get out a white board and did a full explanation of my condition.  He changed some of my Rx around that weren't being effective and put me on a new regime.  I have already emailed him with questions and he got back to me within the hour.  I have never experienced such amazing, attentive, professional and efficient care.  Thoroughly impressed.  Well done Encinitas Family Care.
