Our family has been seeing Dr. Padilla for almost 9yrs. He is an awesome doctor. He did my meniscus surgery in 2008. No problems ever. He has seen both my sons for different sports injuries incurred from cross country and soccer.

I was a bit worried given the poor reviews, but when I took my son in for a cast to treat a broken arm, I found the doctor and staff to be friendly. The doctor was attentive and the health worker who made his cast was very good at it and did a beautiful job. We also did not have to wait long. We were in and out in about one hour including treatment time.

Horrible experience. I honestly will never go back again. I went in for an eval with Dr. Padilla, and he recommended that I wear a boot for my ankle sprain to return to work quicker and speed up the healing. I was hesitant to take it because of insurance coverage and my deductible, which I told the tech. He reassured me that I'd likely not pay anything- not to worry, and quickly rushed me through signing the paperwork without giving me a chance to read.... On my way out of the office, I realized the boot was not a good fit and was making my ankle worse. I took it off and returned home, realizing I probably wouldn't need it. I called the office to let them know, and the secretary asked me if I signed the forms. I said yes, and she said there's nothing that they can do. I was so frustrated bc I ended up receiving a bill for $200+, which I learned was quite normal for this equipment. Rarely is it 100% covered..... It took a few phone calls to get them to reduce the bill. I really feel like I was misinformed at the initial visit. I would not recommend this office, nor would return. Aside from this, I did not get a very good feeling from office staff- being inattentive and short with me on the phone.

Doctor's fine, a little brusque but pretty much all orthopedic specialists I've met are similar. Front office staff are absolutely horrible, bad attitude, somewhat rude, unhelpful.

This is regarding the front desk, not the physician, as we never actually had an opportunity to see the physician. I have been in healthcare management for over 25 years, so, I am speaking from significant and notable experience. The front desk: A horrific representation, with little to no regard for customer service whatsoever. Terrible. Argumentative. Dismissive. Rude. Unprofessional. Off putting. Not helpful. My husband was involved in an auto accident (he was hit by a car on his motorcycle) at 40mph and sustained a foot fracture. The ER referred us to Dr. Padilla for follow up and treatment of the fracture within 2 days. We made an appointment and informed them of the circumstances and they stated they do not bill 3rd party insurance, therefore, we would need to pay a $200 deposit. NO PROBLEM. We arrive for our appointment and when asked for the $200 deposit, I provided my debit card. She replied "cash only" and when I replied it is debit, same as cash, she replied "the doctor doesn't see it that way" and she didn't offer up any options until I inquired. I made a comment that they should clearly communicate their "cash only" policy to patients in the future. She replied argumentatively "we always do." CLEARLY NOT!!! Let's say for completely hypothetical purposes they did mention "cash only", please do NOT argue with me, your patient, the people that make it possible for you to get paid. We are the soul purpose for you having a job. Don't argue with your customers. Just simply say "I am sorry for the misunderstanding, there is a cash machine for your convenience just down the street at the US bank." BUT NO..........she abruptly pointed to the corner of the building and said "there is an ATM right out there" and dismissed me. While leaving my husband to fill out paperwork, I went outside the building to where she pointed to look for an ATM, nowhere in sight. I come back into the office to get more clarification on where this said ATM is located and I am ignored. "Excuse me, where is the ATM?" She replies rudely "it is down the street in the strip mall shopping area." She couldn't have mentioned that in the first place?????? At this time, I am quite frustrated as she could have politely mentioned that before. Again, I state, it would be really helpful and patient's would really appreciate clearer communication. They want your cash, but they don't want to be clear about it, OR, aid you in guiding you to where you can retrieve cash in a professional or kind way.
