I stumbled upon Duerring Timber when I was looking for logs to create a log bed to save me from paying $2,000 for the Cabela's bed my wife was interested in. I spoke to Burt, told him what I needed and supplied me with exactly what I was looking for. Sometime later, I contacted Burt again when my wife wanted me to build a table and I was looking for lumber that was untreated and thicker than the 3/4 inch boards you find at Home Depot or Lowes. Not only did Burt pull through, he showed me some of the tables he was working on, which were very impressive, and shared some of the tricks he learned from his years of experience. Since those two visits, I have stopped at Duerring Timber a few more times for various other things and I have directed friends to Burt when looking for reasonably priced firewood or utilizing his sawmill. Burt, is a good, honest guy. Duerring Timber is the first place I go before the local hardware store when looking for lumber.
