Leaving the hospital walking on crutches and an officer pulled up and asked where are you headed. So I told her and she offered to take me home. Courtesy ride she called it. I am thankful being African American. But while in the car I was subject to criminal background search. Then when I pulled up to my residence she (officer) threw my backpack in the mud and when she handed it to me she started feeling the backpack while looking nefarious. Then I noticed another unmarked police car behind. My point is that in my mind that was an attempt to insight a negative response. So much for courtesy. Duluth Police really need to be better citizens when dealing with the public. It would seem that it is about a quota than anything else. I don't like the behavior that is displayed by officers. But the court is quick to send someone charged with a domestic to DAIP. Who really needs it! Public servants serve the public not harass the public or look for nefarious ways to put people in jail. Duluth Police are nefarious. That's why it won't get better. They are the problem and the world needs officers who serve. Not all are bad but the one bad apple spoils the bunch. Just my experience.

Why is it when people search for Duluth Animal Control on the internet, the only thing that comes up is the contact information for Animal Allies? How are people supposed to search for their stray animals that are brought there? Or inquire about bringing a stray animal that is found within the city? Few people would know to visit the Duluth PD website and search the tabs for animal control. It's 2017. Have a google listing.

Anytime I call or try to contact anyone about a crime I reported I get nothing but voicemail no matter when I call. They hardly do anything to help with your case. I had a friend who had hundreds of dollars worth of stolen items that is proven to be stolen and the police aren't pursuing it. I'm currently dealing with harassment and stalking and the police are doing nothing. Again these are cases with proof. Probably never going to the local police no matter what happens ever again. I would suggest looking elsewhere.
