We're looking forward to seeing you! Our libraries welcome the one million readers, learners, doers, & dreamers of Tucson and Pima County, AZ..
We are the Dusenberry-River Branch Library of the Pima County Public Library, located at the northeast corner of River Road and Craycroft, in Tucson Arizona.
The Dusenberry-River Branch Library opened in January of 1991 with 9,200 square feet. It was the 17th library to open, and one of two libraries - Dusenberry and Kirk-Bear Canyon - to be located in a shopping center.
The Dusenberry-River Library is named after Kathryn "Katie" Norton Dusenberry, a long-time Tucson resident and business owner who served on the Pima County Board of Supervisors for two terms (1977-1985). She also served 8 years on the Federal Council on Aging as an appointee of President Ronald Reagan, and she was appointed by Arizona governors to serve on the Arizona Arts Commission and the Arizona Department of Transportation Board (1997 to 2002).
Dusenberry was named Tucson's Woman of the Year in 1968 and receiving an Outstanding Business Women's Award from the UA College of Business.
