Story

Welcome to East Shore Lodging! A family run lodge style motel that offers guests spacious rooms in a relaxing atmosphere. Set across the street from Lake Wallenpaupack, East Shore Lodging is steps away from the Lake and a 1.5 mile walking trail, beach, visitors center, boat slips and Observation Dike.

The guest rooms and suites are spacious and different than your average “hotel” room. They all are uniquely decorated, have microwaves, refrigerators, private bathrooms, iron/ironing boards, hairdryers, cable television and continental breakfast. After years of working and living in and around NYC, Bridget & Steve Gelderman came home and took over the business from Bridget's parents, Skip & Marlene Regenski. You will find all four running the business throughout your stay.

We were looking for a fall foliage getaway and in our search came across this charming motel. It has the classic motel look and feel, and I mean this in the best way. No glitzy plastic or chain hotel mediocrity. This motel is the real deal, not a corporate attempt to mimic the nostalgic feel of a vacation on the lake. The staff are sincerely friendly and helpful. I met the son of the founding owner at work during the complementary continental breakfast. The rooms are much larger than expected and furnished with a lake side cabin ambiance. The location was ideal for driving through winding roads and enjoying the autumn experience. We had a wonderful trip.

Excellent! By far one of the cleanest places I have ever seen. The room was huge and spotless. It was very comfortable in the inseide, as well as, on the little porch outside. I really can't say enough. There was absolutely no musty smell that usually happens at the Lake, they had magazines in the room (from this month not 10 years ago!), a blow dryer that worked perfectly, an iron and ironing board, a huge closet, and even board games to play in the closet as well. The staff was friendly and I cannot wait to go back. Perfect hotel and a perfect location.

Clean, handicap accessible, quiet, nice view, food in the morning. Been twice, will be back again☺☺☺🛌

This place was excellent. I was in town for a wedding that recommended this place, and I was not disappointed. The rooms are huge, friendly, and well decorated. Mini fridge was convenient for the leftovers we had from restaurants nearby. The staff was cheerful, friendly and very helpful. Gift shop was adorable and the complimentary breakfast was well stocked. Location was nice, nearby restaurants, a few shops, and across from the lake with a nice hiking trail. Easy drive to more destinations. Would absolutely stay here again and would recommend to others.
