I wish I could give zero stars. I don't live in Thornton but chose to go to Eastlake because I was staying with my parents in Thornton when I noticed both my dogs had a missing patch of hair on their right hind leg, and I got concerned it might be something contagious. After receiving a less than warm welcome (the receptionist expected me to weigh both my dogs myself without offering any help or help from a vet tech which is hard when you're trying to weigh two dogs separately in a new place surrounded by other pets), the vet spent maybe 10 minutes with them and admitted he had no idea what would cause that. I told him I have a vet friend in another state who recommended a skin scrape to rule out ringworm and mites and just for peace of mind since scrapes are inexpensive. The vet did the scrape and it came back negative for both, and then he just said he had no idea so I suggested the other thing my vet friend mentioned that it might be a reaction to a vaccine. He agreed that was a possibility and sent me on my way. I was happy it was nothing contagious but frustrated I didn't get any real answers and basically spent only about 10 minutes bouncing ideas off a vet offering no help or advice, but again was just thankful it wasn't something contagious. Then I went to pay and was charged $220! I asked why and was given an itemized receipt...$48 each for each skin scrape and $58 each for a physical exam on each dog. I told the receptionist that the vet didn't give my dogs a physical exam and that the price was outrageous given the short amount of time he spent with them and that he wasn't able to determine the cause of their hair loss patches. She said that anytime a vet even looks at your dog it's considered a physical and told me she could put in a complaint with the office manager. I tried to protest the cost, but it was obvious she didn't care and had no say in the matter so I did tell her to put in the complaint, but that's also why I'm reviewing them here. Completely rude, clueless staff and a total rip off!

Absolutely amazing! I have never had a vet spend an hour with my pup and I. I didn't feel rushed at all and really felt like they cared about my dog and helping him feel better. I have found a vet I will be going back to for a long time!! Thank you for helping my highly allergic overweight baby when other vets could not!!!

I cannot say enough about how satisfied I am with the care at Eastlake and with Dr. Kieger in particular. I am there frequently, it's true, but the front desk staff is always welcoming and at this point knows me & my dogs when we walk in. I have met with multiple vets there to address my geriatric dogs needs, and they were all competent and thorough. Dr. Kieger has become the vet I usually see. He is very good about sharing all the information he has with me and talking me through my options. He has several times asked for permission to share the details of my pet's condition with a colleague that specializes before we decide on and begin a treatment plan. I appreciate that he always seeks out more information and is reserved in his approach to treatment. His approach means that I am more confident following his recommendation when he thinks a more invasive treatment is necessary.

Really personal experience, all staff really cares about the life of your pet rather than just providing a service. Will continue to bring my pets here for the rest of their lives!
