Great place to stage a hike. Get an EBMUD trail pass and choose from many trail options. There's a few short flat ones, or do loops for extra difficulty. Lots of wildlife, watch out for poison oak, and parking is easy.

A great company that does an excellent job helping the community through various outreach programs. They provide high quality, clean water; and process all of the waste from Alameda, Oakland, Richmond, and Berkley. They even produce green energy from thermophillic digestion (waste processing) and use it to power their wastewater plant!

It's an amazing place with a long hiking trail if you go to the left, there's a short loop to the right. Also you can get here from redwood park, but it's a very long hike to do so. It does say you need a permit but every time I've been most people do not have permits. It connects to the upper San Leandro reservoir so there's this huge lake and migratory birds. Excellent bird watching, bathroom facilities as well.

Good hiking, but you're supposed to get a permit from EBMUD. Hard to reach from Moraga now that the bridge is closed.

Beautiful area to walk, though it can get quite a bit muddy after a rain. A food number of people walk here, but you more or less have the trail to yourself most of the time.
