Great park for hiking. Miles of trails with decent climbs. Perfect for families and dogs are welcome. Many dogs are off leash, so make sure your dog does well with other dogs.

Beats the pants off of Muir Woods.  Avoid the crowds, parking, and the cost.  The best part of Oakland...hands down.  Peace and quiet within the streets of the greatest city on earth.  Skyline Trail is highly recommended, however the moonrise over the entire United States is well worth the planning and timing!

There are many Vista points on the trail. Pretty flat. Good for a relaxed weekend stroll

It's a great place to take kids. The Stream trail is easy and paved for strollers and bikes with training wheels. Plus a little playground with shade and places for picnic playdates.

I LOVE going for trail runs here after work.  It is the best way to end the day.
