The first thing I did when I moved here three and a half years ago was find a coffee place. I used to have a favorite shop back in Arlington Virginia but I wasn’t expecting Highland Village to have something comparable. Boy was a I wrong. Back when it was Roots it was great and now that it’s Edison it’s still great. I take my girls here every so often to grab some donuts next door to keep them occupied while daddy sips his espresso. Be warned: it’s not a Starbucks (nothing against Starbucks) so you’ll have to wait for your drink a little longer but it’s worth the wait and when you see a line of twenty people you’ll know why once you taste it. Staffed by great young people who seem to enjoy their job, once you drink here it will be your go to place. The only place that comes close is West Oak Coffee Bar in Denton.

Love this coffee shop. The environment is relaxing. Its typically full of students with apartment housing located in the rear, but it never disappoints. Coffee selections are incredible. Seating is quite varied so you can enjoy a multitude of experiences. Beautiful setting and quiet. Outdoor seating in the back pulls you away from Justin Rd helping to take you away from your day for the duration of your stay. Highly recommend.

I got an iced tea that was just kind of bleh. The person I was with got a latte that she never even finished because it was bleh too. The staff is nice and so is the environment, but as far as drinks go see my previous comment. I also got a sandwich that wasn't worth what I paid. Overall I'd recommend somewhere else, even Starbucks which I'm not a big fan of has better quality drinks and food at a semi reasonable price.

Coffee is likely the best in the area, and they have other tasty items to go along with. My local favorite.

Great service & atmosphere! Getting four stars because the scone was Bland and, I felt, the latte was small. Maybe I just didn't know what to expect or I'm out of touch with the going flavors and sizes, but I did enjoy the coffee cake muffin and my latte, so four stars!
