Had a great time. Holiday train exhibit was much better than anticipated. Got in for free using homeschool teacher card, but paid for kids. Everything was quite interesting. Security was a bit overzealous. I swear they we're running laps. I'd see guards power-walking about every three minutes. I had my kids but they were holding hands nearly the entire time. Guards never said anything, but I felt eyed the whole time. I would recommend.

A family visit with grandchildren to visit the model train display was a great success. The scenes for the train display were composed from whimsical carvings from bark-on trees. Everyone had a good time with lots of interactive displays from the days when Indiana was a frontier state to engage the children, ages 2 and 7.

Very nice place. I have been here a few times. It is so not my favorite museum. We went this time to let two year old see trains at Christmas time. Train display was awesome! Other than that not very kid friendly as are most non-children museums.

You should certainly come for Jingle Rails but keep an eye out for all the different exhibits they offer. This is such a warm wonderful place for the whole family. Jingle Rails is a tradition you can start right now. Go every year and try to find what is new. The kids area downstairs is also fun.

Excellent collection, great educational programs and exhibits. Even my 4 and 7 yr old grandsons love participating in the youth area - a "ride" in the stagecoach is a must on every visit. And Jingle Rails is an annual delight.
