My wife and I enjoyed this visit. Short trip from Indianapolis and well worth the historical and educational experience concerning the man Lew Wallace. Christian, writer, lawyer, soldier, inventor, hunter, fisherman, lover of books, artist, architect, politician, world traveler, husband, father, dreamer, etc. His study has many innovative features; such as combined gas and electric light fixtures. All wood used in the interior including furniture is of white oak. Beautiful landscaping, flowers and vegetation.

What a beautiful study! Lew Wallace was such an interesting man. It's too bad that so few people in this area are aware of him and this lovely place.
