Reviews

Stopped by for lunch even though finding a parking is spot is scarce. The service and aromas coming from the kitchen was both enticing and excellent. I ordered a beef taco plate and it was fantasic. The restaurant is small & cozy but the plated food has big flavors and big portions for the price, come on down and see for yourself, I'm pretty sure you will agree.

El Buen Gusto on Beverly Blvd in Whittier

We have been going there for 20+ years. It was our go to for Mexican Food.
The food over the last years began to decline. Service was always bad when you got one or the owners. We went for the food anyway. 

Dec 10th was our last time we will eat at El Buen Gusto.  

The food and service was as bad as it can get and we had enough.

It’s a shame to see a once great restaurant go down like this. 
Go eat elsewhere. 

If you do eat there they are never busy, getting a table will be easy.

Must have been an off day? The food we ordered was brought to us in about 5 minutes, and was obviously pre-plated, frozen, and microwaved to order. The other reviews are good, but honestly this food was truly awful when we went. We both couldn't even finish half of what we ordered. Sorry.
