We went to happy hour at the bar.  The chips were warm as was the beans.. salsa is very good.  I had there chicken wings $4.95 happy hour price.  Each wing is whole no splitting them up and calling 6 pieces really three wings.  The Mrs had her favorite gordita.  We have been customers for over 20 years no surprises good food friendly service

This has been a long time "go-to" for us. We love the chips and salsa, the margaritas, and the new waitress-Jackie! The food is always great too! We highly recommend the chicken salad (not sure of the exact name).

Always great margaritas and price is right. Sit in the bar, as it it's always lovely and filled with people. Bar has the best happy hour and self serve chips salsa and beans. Yum yum. Great happy hour menu and service is always great. Everyone at El charro is happy happy happy! A must go to for great drinks and food.

Our favorite Mexican food in Carson City.  Excellent bean dip but you have to get it yourself in the bar.  My favorite dish is the Gordita (like a Mexican pizza on flour tortillas) w/ shredded beef.  Big enough to take some home. Good service and fairly priced. You can save 20 percent if you buy the gift cards at Costco.
