El Matador is a friendly authentic Mexican restaurant that's very family-centric. I highly recommend the tacos and tostadas, the sopes have home made thick shells which make them extremely filling and I personally feel you taste the meat less that way. Side note: it's BYOB, so have some fun with it. I've been there a couple of times and the owner will come out to the table to tells us about the specials or asks how we're liking the food. One of the specials he even mentioned was his mother's own stew which he only had a limited amount, it was amazing. If I were him I would never have even shared it with customers but that just tells you how kind the atmosphere is there.

I had dinner here with a large group and the food was great.  The guacamole and pulled pork were my favorites.  The service is great!  I highly recommend this place for simple, Solid 
Mexican food!!!!

Best, best, best Mexican food around!!!! Can't get enough of this place. I recommend the Sopas if you've never tried them.
