Story

Essex Junction Craft Kitchen and Bar is a neighborhood restaurant and craft beer bar, opening January 2016 in Bloomfield, NJ, serving house-made signature dishes with a focus on quality ingredients, accompanied by great craft beers from local and national brewers, a killer cocktail program and artisanal wines. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be served daily along with happy hour and weekend brunch. Located just steps from the Bloomfield train station, there will be special breakfast options available for commuters. Capacity 200 seats (70 bar /90 dining/40 outside) 4,080 sf. Essex Junction is being opened by Experience Management - CEO & Partner Jeremy Goldberg is a North Caldwell native, CIA graduate and Miami restaurateur, returns to his NJ roots to open a fun, community social gathering place.

Love this place. The Brussel Sprouts on the menu are amazing. They use to have karaoke night (not sure if they still do haven't been able to get there on a Thursday night) but it was super fun. Definitely a great local spot.

We had dinner here just because it was a nice day in awhile. This place has great ambience. Very family friendly. Staff seems friendly. Food, so so. I ordered Chicken Milanese. I was very excited because I saw chicken BLT on another table that looked really great. Well, I was slightly disappointed when my dish came out. Presentation of dish was totally wrong. They put very sparse lettuce on top of over fried chicken on a very large plate (either plate was large for there wasn't enough food). I couldn't find lemon vinegarret at all. There was watered down lemon sauce under the chicken in very little amount but not enough to digest overfried chicken. Chicken was tough enough that I could put my knife in it on the outer 1.5inch perimeter. We also had Brussels sprouts which our waitress recommended which was over fried and greasy. Fish n chips were good. Overall, it is nice place but I wouldn't crave for their food.

Good place already and I'm hopeful it will improve and become even better. Their dinner/lunch menu could be improved in my opinion, I often find myself wishing there were more or different options. The brunch meanwhile has been a hit each time we've gone. Food has always been fresh and tasty.  Great beer selection and there's always a changing selection of live music and entertainment. It's a beautiful space and if they improve the menu a bit I would call this a 5 star place. It's worth checking out.

Nice bar with lots of craft beers on draft with some local as well as other choices. Nice vibe.

This place doesn't even deserve a star! I ordered a junction burger requested it to be well done and it was brought out bloody.  My husband's wings were pink. We returned both. The "owner" "manager" Jeremy didn't even bother coming out. My husband had to ask to speak to him.  He comes out INEBRIATED and tells us he's a small business. Didn't apologize for the raw chicken wings his establishment sold us... then suggested that he didn't charge us for the live animal called a patty his cooks placed on the bun. He said we were being disrespectful for questioning his practices and behavior.  NEVER AGAIN.
