We are in San Francisco for the weekend this is our second night at the Elephant Bar. Our waiter the first night was Maverick. He was a great server and our food and drink where outstanding. The second night we had Leo as our server, again great service and awesome food. We met the manager Rose. She has a great staff and runs a good group. We will be back when next in town. Thank you for making our getaway weekend great. The Flecks

This location has gone downhill. On our last visit the furnishings look like they have seen better days. Tables are scratched and the edges are worn. Seat cushions in booth are flat and you sink down when sitting in them. The carpet is disgusting. Food used to taste fresher like they were made from scratch, but I think EB is taking shortcuts. The only positives here are the view of the Bay and our server was great. I hope they upgrade this place soon.

The drinks were pretty good. I had Tito's mule and it was good but nothing special. The food was just average. U had the turkey melt. It had a large amount of turkey, but because of that the turkey was cold and not nice and warm like you want it to be in a good melt. The atmosphere was great and the staff very friendly. I would definitely give it another try and wouldn't be surprised if ordering a different meal would result in a rating of 4 Stars

Food was good, but I have to complain about their happy hour. I arrived with 4 coworkers for dinner about 6:15 after finding out that happy hour goes until 7. Were seated at a table in the dining area and ordered some drinks and appetizers off the happy hour menu they provided, to have before our entrees arrived. When we got the bill I noticed the prices didn't reflect their happy hour pricing. I asked the waiter about it and was informed the happy hour prices only applied to the bar area. Why did they provide a happy hour menu if the advertised prices didn't apply to us? VERY deceptive and definitely needs to be changed.

I certainly can't fault the place for the food. I ordered the Pub Burger, and it was everything I wanted from a hamburger (cooked med-well, with just the right amount of grease). The building and decor have a very unique character-I liked them. It smells (to my nose anyway) like they have a humidity problem, which is a bit concerning, but maybe I'm just not used to San Francisco. Anyway, things seemed clean enough, so it's not enough to dock them a star.
